What Is Acne?


Acne is a human skin disease that all of us will encounter especially when we first reach puberty. Our hormones changes and our oil glands are active producing more oil thus attracting more bacterias to clogged pores. When our pores are clogged with dirt and oil, it will attract bacterias and causes inflammation.

There are different types of acne which are

  1. Whiteheads

  2. Blackheads

  3. Pimples / zits / blemishes / spots

  4. Pustules

  5. Cysts


Common acne affects almost all teenagers.Common acne is also known as acne lesions where it is caused by changes in skin, sebaceous (oil) glands, and androgen stimulated changes. Acne occurs mostly to teenagers and it is also common for adults to have acne problems.

For some people, acne problem diminishes as they gets older while some will experience break outs later in age. Some will have acne in late twenties, thirties and even up to forties.

Acne leaves scars and marks on our skin. If no proper care is taken, it can cause a permanent mark or a very long time to completely clear the skin. As each of us are different, it is common for many people to start learning skin care by trying out products. After some time and getting advice from professionals, we will learn to understand our skin.Understanding our skin is essential because we are all different from each other and our skin reacts differently to different products.

There are many factors that causes acne such as environment, food and the skin care products we use. Knowing your skin type will be a great advantage for you because you will better control in preventing fromacne problems.
